Sunday Night Football, week 7. Tonight we have an NFC West showdown in the desert. The 4-1 Seattle Seahawks travel to Glendale, Arizona to take on the 3-3 Arizona Cardinals at University Of Phoenix Stadium. The Seahawks stand alone atop the NFC West division. They feature their usual superb defense, currently #1 in the NFL, as well as star quarterback Russell Wilson on offense. This is a deep, talented and balanced team that is primed for a deep run in the post season.
The Cardinals come into the game in second place at 3-3 in the NFC West. A win for the Cardinals here would put them just a half game behind the Seahawks for the division lead. A loss would put the Cardinals three games back in the loss column and their chances of winning the West would be all but gone. The Cardinals are led by outstanding wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, star running back David Johnson and veteran quarterback Carson Palmer on offense, while also fielding a rugged if somewhat underperforming defense. This matchup is one of the best NFL prime time games this season. For football aficionados this is must see TV.
