It should come as no surprise that the struggling Jets are falling in NFL power rankings.
24. New York Jets
21. New York Jets
We can talk fourth downs, Darrelle Revis or the slumping offense all day long, but the broader point is that the season is slipping away fast. Recently spoke with my colleague -- and lifelong Gang Green fanatic -- @DanHanzus (his name is Dan, not @Dan) regarding the Jets' fortunes. We both feel that winning on opening day would have been paramount to them having a good season, given how tough the schedule is. New York controlled that Week 1 bout versus the Bengals and had no business losing. Now the Jets are 1-4.
24. New York Jets
There sure aren't people talking up coach Todd Bowles now. A 1-4, their season is going bad quickly.
27. New York Jets
Former defensive back Todd Bowles must hate what's happening to the Jets' secondary. The average passing touchdown against the Jets has gone for 31.5 yards this season, which includes five scores of 40 or more yards. Bowles is hoping they can fix those problems before playing at Arizona (his former team as a defensive coordinator) on Monday Night Football.
