-
Shuffles backwards instead of going out with a kick step
-
Could have problems with speed rushers
-
Almost only blocked coming out of a 2 point stance
-
Won’t fit in every offense
Conclusion
Dahl has interested me quite a bit this year. He is a guy that has come from zero expectations, to being the most reliable lineman on the Cougars offense. A lot of scouts don’t see Dahl staying at left tackle in the NFL, and I side with them. I do believe he can survive as a RT, and thrive as a guard. He was mostly playing inside at the Senior Bowl practices. For the Jets, I can see Dahl coming in, and being able to fill a few different roles. I believe he can play every position along the O-line except LT. Yes, I think he can even play center. With the age and talent level being in question for our O-line this year, having a moldable piece like Dahl can ease some concerns. Dahl has a chance today to really impress scouts. Right now, I see Dahl going somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd round.
