Today is the Senior Bowl from Mobile, Alabama. It is the last chance prospects have to work in front of talent evaluators in a game setting before the 2016 NFL Draft. Here they will face the best competition they have seen. A big performance in this game, can catch the attention of NFL teams and start a player's momentum on a rise up Draft boards.
This is the game the top prospects attend. Not to overstate the importance, but this game can be a tool teams use to help quantify college production, particularly for smaller school guys. Is that player dominating because he really is an NFL talent, or is he dominating because the competition is weak? This game can help provide answers to these questions.
The Jets had a large contingent in Mobile for practices this week, including general manager Mike Maccagnan and head coach Todd Bowles. Is the next great Jets star on the field today?
