All season long it felt like the Jets dodged the injury bullet. There were numerous times when a key contributor went down with what looked like a serious injury only to be back in the lineup shortly. Their luck ran out in the season finale today. Wilkerson's injury was the cherry on top of a rough afternoon.
Wlkerson is set to become a free agent after the season, although the Jets do retain the option to franchise him. That seems likely if the two sides cannot work out a new deal.
