Jets Offseason Moves: Team Signs Titus Davis to Reserve/Future Deal

The Jets have signed wide receiver Titus Davis to a reserve/future contract.

Davis was undrafted out of Central Michigan in 2015. He spent training camp in San Diego and then time on the practice squads of the Bills and the Jets. The Jets liked him enough to give him a shot to earn a roster spot. Admittedly, showing enough to a team to offer you a training camp spot is a pretty low bar to clear.

Davis owns Central Michigan's career receiving records in touchdowns and yardage. Central Michigan receiving records are nothing to scoff at since Antonio Brown played there. (Note that Davis played a full season more than Brown did at Central Michigan. Even if he didn't, nobody should take that to mean that Davis is a talent on Brown's level.)
