Eric Rogers has received plenty of attention over the last year from various NFL teams, including a contract offer from the Jets (according to Manish)
Jets did make an offer to standout CFL WR Eric Rogers before he chose to sign with the 49ers, I'm told. #nyj

The former CFL standout enjoyed a highly productive year in 2015 recording 87 receptions for 1,448 yards and 10 touchdowns.
At 6'4 and 215lb's he has prototypical size for the position. After going undrafted out of Cal Lutheran (Division III), he was originally singed to a contract by the Dallas Cowboys before moving to the Arena Football League with the Portland Thunder
Rogers visited with 16 teams and impressed 13 of them to a point where a contract was offered, before deciding to head back to the west-coast with the Chip Kelly led 49'ers.
We all know that the Jets like big receivers, and Rogers certainly would have fit in here in New York. Although he would have been #3 or #4 on the depth chart behind Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker. No disrespect intended for San Francisco, but their receiver core will probably be far easier to climb than the Jets.
Good to see that we were aggressive however, and we made Rogers an offer. It also shows that we may be looking to add depth to our wide receiver core, heading into 2016.
The contract that Rogers reportedly signed with San Francisco is for 2 years with a $100,000 base salary guarantee, a $125,000 signing bonus and $75,000 in other bonuses.
