Jets Offseason Moves: Sean Hickey and Dominique Williams Sign Reserve/Future Contracts

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets have signed two more players to reserve/future contracts.

Hickey, who started 38 consecutive games for Syracuse his final three collegiate seasons, signed as an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints last spring. The 6’6", 306-pound Hickey was one of the Saints’ final cuts in training camp and spent some time on both the Saints and Patriots’ practice squads last season.

Williams, who attended Bridgeton HS in Bridgeton, NJ, rushed for 4,435 yards at Wagner. The 5’9", 205-pounder rushed for 100 yards in 26 of 43 career collegiate games as he reached the 1,000-yard mark in three seasons and became the first player in school history to serve as a team captain for three seasons. Williams originally signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in the summer of 2014 and was the Vikes second-leading rusher that preseason. He has spent time on both the Vikings and Cardinals’ practice squads.

Two more down as the roster eventually grows to 90 near training camp.
