Four weeks ago, the Broncos and Steelers met in Pittsburgh. The Steelers overcame a 27-10 deficit to beat Denver. At that point, there was a chance the Broncos could miss the Playoffs (albeit not a strong one). Two weeks later, they clinched the top seed in the AFC.
Four years ago, the Broncos and Steelers met in Denver in the Playoffs. On the first play of overtime, Tim Tebow's first read was open. He completed a fairly routine pass to Demaryius Thomas. Thomas made an incredible stiff arm and an electrifying run to go 80 yards for a touchdown. IT WAS ALL TEBOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately for the Steelers, they might have won the battle but lost the war last week against the Bengals. Vontaze Burfict knocked Antonio Brown out of this game with an injury, and a sack of Ben Roethlisberger left the quarterback hurt. He was struggling to make throws at the end of the game and might be compromised in this game. Meanwhile, Peyton Manning is back for the Broncos. This feels like a tough game for the Steelers. There is a reason they play the games, though. Anything can happen.
