The second seeded Arizona Cardinals start their Playoff run tonight hosting the Green Bay Packers. Arizona won in a rout the last time these teams met in Arizona three weeks ago. The Cardinals also won the last time these teams met in the Playoffs. That was a 51-45 overtime thriller in 2009 won by a Karlos Dansby 17 yard fumble return for a touchdown.
The Cardinals have been somewhat snakebitten the last two seasons. In 2013 they were a hard luck 10-6 team that missed the Playoffs. Last year they seemed to be on a Super Bowl trajectory, but their quarterback situation was decimated by injuries. Ryan Lindley started their Playoff loss to the Panthers. Finally they have a legitimate chance to make some noise in the postseason. Will they take advantage of it?
