Miles had a strong finish to his preseason. He initially made the 53 man roster but was waived on Sunday to make room for Ronald Martin, whom the Jets had claimed off waivers from Seattle.
This presumably means that Miles cleared waivers. The 31 other teams all had a chance to claim Miles and add him to their active roster. Now it is off to the practice squad for Miles, where he will presumably be among those considered for a promotion the first time a spot opens up on the active roster.
The Jets have now filled nine of their practice squad slots. They still have one open. I wonder whether they will move an offensive lineman there after Oday Aboushi's suspension is finished.
