Ian Rapoport reports the Jets are placing cornerback Dee Milliner on short term injured reserve.
The #Jets are placing CB Dee Milliner on injured reserve/designated-to-return with a wrist injury, source said. Out half the season.

Milliner suffered a tendon injury in his wrist early in training camp.
This designation will prevent Milliner from practicing with the team for the first six weeks of the regular season and from being on the active roster for eight weeks. Each team only gets to designate one player for return during the regular season so Milliner burns the Jets' ability to do that.
As Milliner entered the season trying to salvage his career, the injury has provided a major roadblock. The spending spree at cornerback suggested a lack of confidence in Milliner from the front office, and the practice time he will continue to miss will not help his development.
