The Jets made a minor transaction today. They claimed safety Dion Bailey off waivers from the Seahawks. To clear room, they waived Ronald Martin, himself a safety the Jets claimed off waivers from the Seahawks a few weeks back.

The Jets have not been particularly active with their roster. Bailey is the first player the team has added since the start of the regular season.
Bailey was an undrafted free agent out of USC last year. A converted linebacker, Bailey saw 60 snaps in Seattle's opener at St. Louis in place of holdout Kam Chancellor. He was burned for the tying touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Personally, I liked Bailey as a prospect when he came out of school for what little that is worth.
As we know, Todd Bowles has found spots in his defense for safety/linebacker hybrids. I'm not sure Bailey would play immediately. He's more of a developmental player, and the Jets aren't taking their linebackers off the field much. We will see what comes of this, though.
