The Time to Bring back Geno is approaching

I am not going to rant about how Geno would have won yesterdays game. I do think that ole Noodle Arm was a huge part of our loosing. There were other factors as well.

Brandon Marshalls hot potato play eventually cost us 7 points

Sproles punt return where no one remembered how to tackle cost us 7 more points.

Ole Noodle Arm threw three INTs 2 in the last half of the fourth quarter while we still had a chance to tie the game.

There were at least 3 more INTs that were dropped by Eagle defenders.

Ivory, and Decker were both out of the entire game hurt the offense.

Obviously the Marshall play was bad, when I heard about I thought what could be worse than the butt fumble? I was not home for the game and watched it on DVR a few hours later. I was sweating for hours trying to imagine it. It was bad but I've seen worse. That won't happen again so no need to go into it anymore more.

Special teams needs to get itself together. Kerley actually didn't do a bad job yesterday and they passed to him and Cumby. That probably shocked the Eagles as much as me.

With the game in London the bye week will be early this year. Which brings me to the Geno-Fitzpatrick debate.

The game I watched the offense was horrible. How much of that was on Ivory and Decker being out is debatable. How much comes down to Chan Gailey's offense is also debateable.

I want to talk about Fitz ( Ole Noodle Arm ) and Geno. To me it's like watching the movie Dumb and Dumber. Both choices are not good. While Fitz seems to be OK much of the time he looked bad yesterday. As the game progressed he made more mistakes and bad passes. Towards the end of the game he had several deflected passes and couple of passes that seemed bad for no reason. Like the pass where he missed Smith in the endzone. There was one pass that just seemed to go into the ground for no reason that I could see. Some passes were high and some very low. For me it looks like he is at the end, he should really only be the back-up.

Geno has a better arm. That's all I have at this point. However after the bye he should be ready to come back and I believe we need him. Why? Because this team cannot be competitive with Fitz and it's time to see if Geno can really advance or we move on from him. Who knows maybe he might be better, until we put him in and see we won't know.

For game five I believe we need to have Geno as the starter. We need to know and we need to know whether we need to push Petty to try and be ready for next year. While I don't think he will be ready we need to know whether to get another QB or not.

I am not panicking or advocating a rash move. To me it was obvious after watching yesterdays game Fitz will not be the QB to help us into the playoffs. The first two games his deep ball was bad but he was in a position of power being in the lead and getting all those turnovers. Yesterday it was the opposite and it showed how bad he is. The deep balls were all under thrown. Even some of his mid level passes were bad or off point. While I don't question his decision making skills his ability to execute is compromised and we need to move on.

Geno is the opposite. His physical skills are there but his decision making is or was not up to speed. Let's bring him in after the bye and see what he can do with the remaining 12 games.
