Darrelle Revis: "I'll Be Fine"

Darrelle Revis had to leave yesterday's loss to the Eagles with a hamstring injury. This is not to be confused with the groin injury that limited his practice time leading up to the game. He downplayed the ailment in his postgame chat with the press.

On how he felt after the game…

Fine. I feel fine.

On if he was able to function with his hamstring…

I will be fine.

I am usually not a fan of an early bye week. I think in general that the deeper into the season the bye week comes, the better. In what is a long and grueling season, I like to see the Jets get a chance to rest for the stretch run whenever possible.

This year's trip to London made an early bye week inevitable. That might be shaping up to be a good thing for this Jets team. There are a number of key pieces like Revis, Chris Ivory, and Eric Decker nursing injuries that just need a little time to heal.
