Obviously there were three big injuries in this game. Eric Decker wasn't out there after impressing the first two weeks. Chris Owusu wasn't active and he'll miss the game next week in London too. Finally Chris Ivory was active, but he didn't see the field. So three big contributors were out for the Jets, that's not an excuse, it's just an observation. It will also help explain why players like Kerley and Eneunwa saw their playing time increase.
There really weren't too many things to note here. Willie Colon left which saw Brian Winters take some snaps. Tommy Bohanon's role in the gameplan this week was minimal and Devin Smith went from not playing at all through injury to seeing significant time on the field. Unfortunately the results were as expected, as Smith failed to get into the game, while looking raw and unprepared.
Brandon Marshall tried "the dumbest play in NFL history", his words, not mine. Fitzpatrick turned the ball over too much, we knew what we were getting with him, he'll have a couple more like this too.
In total the Jets ran 79 offensive snaps.
