Jets vs. Browns Final Score: Gang Green Starts Season Strong

Danny Wild-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets beat the Browns in the Meadowlands today by a 31-10 score. This is the fifth straight season-opener the Jets have won, and it is the first win in the head coaching career of Todd Bowles. Hopefully many more are to come.

The Jets got off to a shaky start, but they made some key early plays in big spots to stay in the game. They scored a touchdown right before the end of the first half to take their first lead and then never looked back, dominating the second half.

Along the way, the Jets forced five turnovers. They forced only thirteen all of last year.

It was a nice way to start the season. There is plenty to build upon, but nobody can get overconfident because there are also things to fix, like how the team starts games.

Hopefully the injuries to Antonio Cromartie and Lorenzo Mauldin are not as serious as they look.

In the meantime, celebrate the win below. The official recap will be up after the late afternoon games.
