Jets vs. Browns Game Thread

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The 2015 Jets season begins now.

The Jets open their season with a home game against the Cleveland Browns. When we last saw the Jets, they looked very different. The team has a new general manager and a new head coach. It spent a ton of cap space making over the roster, the secondary in particular. Old friends Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie are back and begin their respective second stints with the team today.

While people tend to overreact to openers, there is some sense of urgency to win today. After all of the money the Jets spent, they need to be able to beat a team like the Browns at home. Weak opponents do not come around frequently in the NFL. By almost any projection, the Browns figure to be one of the worst teams in the league this year and contend for the number one overall pick. They also have arguably the worst quarterback situation in the league. Two difficult opponents follow on the schedule and then a trip across the ocean. This is a win the Jets really need to bank.
