Jets fans will probably be focused on the Green and White Practice tonight in the Meadowlands, but the rest of the league will be looking to Canton, Ohio, for the induction ceremony of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the unofficial start of football season.
Of the men going into the Hall, I can only think of one Jets tie-in. Ron Wolf briefly worked in the Jets' front office in the early 1990's. He famously tried to land Brett Favre in the 1991 NFL Draft, but the Jets lost out when Favre was selected by the Falcons. Wolf was later hired as Packers general manager, traded for Favre, and the rest was history.
As you likely remember, Wolf briefly returned to the organization a few months back as one of the consultants in charge of running the general manager and head coaching searches that led to the hirings of Mike Maccagnan and Todd Bowles.
