Leonard Williams left last night's preseason game against the Giants with an apparent knee injury. The prognosis, however, sounds good.
Update on Leonard Williams: He has a muscle strain behind his knee. No ligament damage. Not expected to be long-term injury. #Jets— Dennis Waszak Jr. (@DWAZ73) August 30, 2015
So that's a sigh of relief. He has two weeks to recover since he probably was not going to play in Thursday's preseason finale anyway. With Sheldon Richardson starting the season suspended, the Jets are going to count on the rookie.
