Julian Howsare Getting Work at Fullback

Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports

Our friends at The Jets Blog note undrafted rookie Julian Howsare is getting some work at fullback in the aftermath of J.C. Copeland's departure.

Howsare played his college ball at Division II Clarion. He was an edge rusher in college.

This might mean he has an uphill battle to make the club on the defensive side of the ball so the coaching staff is trying to see what he can do at another spot. It might mean the Jets have seen skills in him to make them think he could be a good fullback. It might mean both.

The new coaching staff has tried other players out in new positions like the work Brian Winters got at center.

In any event, Tommy Bohanon's roster spot does not seem to be guaranteed just because of Copeland's release.
