The Jets' first team offense, defense, and special teams units have looked lost. There was very little to be excited about until some of the second team players hit the field. After that, the Jets scored 16 unanswered points to take a 2 point lead going into the second half. While the Jets starters have looked lost, the Jets' rookie class was impressive. First round pick Leonard Williams jumped off the screen, recording 2 sacks, including one for a safety. Third round pick Lorenzo Mauldin flashed as well, recording an impressive tackle as well as a very nice sack that was called back due to a penalty on Buster Skrine. Bryce Petty looked better than last game, though he clearly has a long way to go still. He threw a ball that should have been intercepted and fumbled in the red zone. Nevertheless, after two discouraging games from our 1s, it was encouraging to see some of the Jets of the future blossoming regardless of the circumstances.
Hope you're enjoying the game!
