Jets linebacker Erin Henderson, who left last night's preseason opener with a knee injury, says that injury is a sprained MCL.

It is always scary to see a player leave a game with a knee injury. Henderson is not out of the woods. The recovery time depends on the severity of the sprain, but potentially this could mean he is looking at weeks to recover depending on the severity of the sprain.
Henderson is trying to turn things around after a year out of the league. So far this has the makings of a nice redemption story. He was one of the few Jets to play well in the preseason opener and figures to have a role on the defense. He might end up as the primary backup at inside linebacker for David Harris and Demario Davis.
