New York Jets: Personnel Notes

Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

I'm not sure we can necessarily draw conclusions based on where somebody stands based on whether he sees time with the first, second, or third unit in a preseason game. Sometimes the coaches want to test players out. For what it is worth, there are a few notes over the way the Jets allotted playing time last night.

First team offense

The most notable thing might have been Quincy Enunwa entering the game in the first series when the Jets went to a three receiver set.

Second team offensive line

It looked like this: Ben Ijalana, Dakota Dozier, Dalton Freeman, Brian Winters, Brent Qvale

I note this because Oday Aboushi, who started 10 games last season for the Jets at guard, got work with the third team. Willie Colon got the first team work at right guard.

Second team defense

Marcus Williams came in and played some slot.

Make of this what you will.
