This coming year of football has us all excited, but I have become incredibly intrigued by this year's College QBs. If you take a look at all of the possible candidates to come out of college and enter to pros, a lot of big names stick out that not only look like they could be future first rounders, but also could come out of college this coming year.
This list is of the college QBs who I feel could be coming out this year and might have first round potential. This list is not how I view them, just stating who they are:
- Jared Goff
- Christian Hackenburg
- Cody Kessler
- Connor Cook
- Cardale Jones
- J.T. Barrett
- Trevone Boykin
Now imagine if several of these QBs have lights out seasons... The demand for a good QB in the NFL is ever present so could we have something like a first 5 picks of the first round be QBs? Only time will tell.
I'd like to see all these guys declare for the draft, however with many of them only juniors, I could see them deciding to stay in college for another year hoping to be a first overall pick and make a couple million more, but who knows how it'll play out. I just personally hope that they all declare so the Jets could grab one if need be. If the Jets are going to draft a QB during Bowles time here, this coming year may be his only chance to do it, otherwise the talent on this team may be just good enough to keep us in QB purgatory, and perhaps leave us there until Bowles would be fired for being average... Okay too far for now, let him coach his first game haha.
But as of now, I'm rooting for Geno to come back from his broken Jaw and play lights out, and of course hoping on something from Petty.
