The NFL's supplemental draft was today. The Jets did not make a selection.
The Rams made the league's first supplemental pick in three years. They were awarded Clemson offensive lineman Isiaiah Battle for a fifth round pick. St. Louis will now lose its fifth round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Darrius Caldwell, Eric Eiland, Sean McQuillan, Kevin Short, Dalvon Stuckey, and Adrian Wilkins entered the supplemental draft and went unselected. They are now unrestricted free agents.
When a team makes a pick in the supplemental draft, it loses a pick of equal value in the next year's NFL Draft. Since the Jets did not make a selection, they retain the six picks they currently own in rounds one through six. Their seventh round pick belongs to the Texans as a result of the Ryan Fitzpatrick trade.
Are you happy the Jets did not make a selection? Would you have wanted Battle? Let us know below.
