Willie Colon, Stevan Ridley, and Kevin Vickerson are going to begin training camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

Ridley's presence on this list is not a major surprise as he is coming off a serious knee injury. In a crowded backfield, the Jets can afford to take their time making sure he is healthy.
In camp, a player on the PUP list simply is not ready to participate. He can be activated at any point so it is possible these are one day type deals. If we get through the end of the preseason, the team has a decision to make. Keeping a player on the PUP list at the start of the regular season requires that player to sit out the first six games. That is a long way off for these guys, however.
