Jets Sign Four Draft Picks: Rookie Minicamp Starts Today

New, comments

The Jets are flying through their draft signings and rookie minicamp starts today.

Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets have already announced the signing of four draft picks from the 2015 class with Lorenzo Mauldin, Bryce Petty, Deon Simon and Jarvis Harrison all being penned to rookie deals. Which means Leonard Williams and Devin Smith are the only players not yet to sign. I wouldn't worry too much about it though, we fully expect them to sign without any problems. Now we have the rookie wage scale it's more about terminology and the little details rather than the framework, which is already set.

The Jets will be hosting a rookie minicamp this weekend between the 8th and 10th of May.

Lorenzo Mauldin signed a deal  worth $3.1 million, including a $772,000 signing bonus. Bryce Petty's contract is worth $2.8 million, including a $546,000 signing bonus.Harrison's $2.5 million deal includes a $232,000 signing bonus. Simon receives a $73,000 signing bonus in his $2.4 million contract.

There will be plenty of sound-bites from the rookie class this afternoon as the Media meet them before the training session. The Media will also be allowed to watch the session before a scheduled Todd Bowles press conference.
