Jets OTA Thread 5/26

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets are back for another three day stretch of OTA's today.

OTA's typically do not come with big news, but last week was an exception for the Jets with Geno Smith essentially being named the starting quarterback in Week 1 and some high profile absences, including Muhammad Wilkerson.

As we begin another week, again I have a friendly reminder. Maintain a healthy skepticism when hearing reports about how a certain player looks great. OTA's can serve a valuable role in helping players springboard into improvements, but they are a handful of practices. Sometimes reports of how much better a player looks are signs of a massive improvement. Frequently, this is not the case, and OTA success proves fleeting.

Discuss OTA's below. The GGN Twitter widget is embedded to provide you with news during the day. That's right. Not only does that widget look spectacular; it also gives you news.
