Mike Maccagnan's overhaul of the Jets front office continues. The Jets have hired former Packers scout Lee Gissendaner.
Lee Gissendaner left the Packers' scouting staff recently to become a national college scout for the New York Jets, a source confirmed.
Gissendaner had served as an area scout for Green Bay since 2001 according to his profile on the Packers' official website. He was originally hired in a different role by the Packers in 1998 by then general manager Ron Wolf. You might remember Wolf serving on the search committee that eventually led to the hiring of Mike Maccagnan. He also had a brief playing career which included stints in the Canadian Football League and the World League of American Football.
With the Jets, he will serve as national scout.
