Marshall & Cromartie Enjoy Some Social Media Banter

It's May, which means every single team is optimistic and every single team things they can go all the way. That feel good factor plays out in many ways, and it seems the Jets new look offense and new look defense are enjoying a little banter.

Matt Marton-USA TODAY Sports

If you don't follow Brandon Marshall and Antonio Cromartie on Instagram, you've really been missing some good natured banter between team-mates. OTA's are notorious for being a little dull, they are voluntary, there is no contact and several players choose to miss it, well competition is the name of the game and Brandon Marshall has been all over the secondary this week:

Brandon Marshall couldn't help sending a few shots across the bow at newly acquired defensive back Antonio Cromartie

Good luck today sir @acromartie1 on touchdown Thursday. #redzone #jets #nfl #Competition

and newly acquired cornerback Darrelle Revis

It's all smiles now. See you in the Red Zone at 11am. #jets #nfl #Competition @revisislandtwo4

Not happy with only targeting two members of the secondary, he made up (or got someone to make up) a little collection of all of them

Good luck @busterskrine Good luck @dex_25 Good luck @dmilli27 Good luck @therealmarcwill Good luck @acromartie1 Good luck @revisislandtwo4

We all know that Antonio Cromartie is not one to shay away from a challenge, on the field or off it and he wasted little time preparing a response to Marshall and his jibe

This is how @bmarshall will be looking today after we finish up RedZone and the offense has to run. Sorry

Unfortunately we don't have access to the tape of Marshall and his offensive pals going up against Batman/Robin and his band of defensive outlaws, but we do know that the defense won the match-up. Not only did Marshall pop another instagram up, but Todd Bowles confirmed it was the offense who had to run gasses at the end of practise. Bowles has created a competitive atmosphere with the Jets, and the loser of the competition has to finish the session with a little cardio.

@acromartie1 my face right now. Until next time.. . #jets #nfl #newyork
