2015 NFL Draft Results: Day Two in the Books

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The second day of the 2014 NFL Draft has come and gone. Devin Smith and Lorenzo Mauldin are the newest members of the New York Jets.

Nothing could top a first day where the Jets landed the consensus best player in the Draft with the sixth pick. The Jets tonight did add a pair of talented players who fit roles they were looking to fill. Smith has the speed to be the vertical threat the Jets were looking to complement Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker. Mauldin is a versatile edge rusher. The Jets have needed an infusion of youth off the edge for a long time to pair with all of the talent they have up front on defense. Mauldin shows Mike Maccagnan was serious a few days back when he talked about 3-4 teams needing to draft an outside linebacker every year.

By virtue of a trade down in the third round, the Jets also upped the number of picks they own on the third day from three to five.

How do you think the Jets did today? Let us know below. Here are the results from the second and third round courtesy of SBNation.com.
