T.J. Clemmings to Visit Jets

Glenn Andrews-USA TODAY Sports

Dom Cosentino reports Pittsburgh tackle T.J. Clemmings is coming to visit the Jets late this week.

Offensive tackle T.J. Clemmings, a projected late-first or early-second-round draft pick, is expected to be among the numerous players the Jets will host at their local, invitation-only pro day on Friday, according to a source.

Clemmings, who measured in at 6-foot-5, 309 pounds at February's NFL Scouting Combine, was a first-team all-ACC and a second-team All-American last season at Pitt, where he was a redshirt senior. He played right tackle before switching to left tackle during the Senior Bowl. A converted defensive lineman, Clemmings is also a native of Teaneck and a Paterson Catholic grad.

This morning Dan Kadar mocked Clemmings to Denver with the 28th pick in SB Nation's latest mock draft.

The Jets can use some help along the offensive line, but there are not many option that seem worthy of the sixth pick. It would not be a surprise to see the team invest on the line somewhere between rounds two and four in search of an upgrade.
