According to Lance Zierlein, highly touted prospect Shane Ray will require surgery on his foot, expected 5 month recovery time:
.@LanceZierlein says on http://t.co/HpA218qGnY that Shane Ray will need surgery on foot, 5 months recovery. "Could drop out of first"

Shane Ray has been heavily linked with the Jets and he was widely considered one of the top pass rushers in the NFL draft. However with the news he is set to miss 5 months, will this drastically affect his stock? Some are suggesting he could fall out of the first round. He's explosive in every sense of the word, and a foot injury could impact his greatest strength.
He doesn't have ideal length but he does play at 100% every single snap. If his stock really does drop due to this, could the Jets make a play with their 2nd round selection rather than their 1st? It's worth considering.
Personally I don't think he'll drop out of the first round due to this, he has too much talent, however stranger things have happened in the NFL draft.
Shane Ray did visit the Jets for a workout in March.
