Jets Worked Out Brett Hundley

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Manish Mehta reports the Jets worked out UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley, a player considered an early round prospect in the NFL Draft.

The Jets’ seemingly endless search for a franchise quarterback has them looking everywhere to upgrade at the game’s most important position.

The Daily News has learned that the team held a private workout for UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley about four weeks ago.

It is good that the Jets worked out Hundley. They should be exploring all options.

With that said, I would prefer they not take Hundley. When I watch prospects, there are usually one or two things that really jump off the page. For Hundley it is how frequently his eyes drop and he takes off the run at the first hint of pressure.

I think Hundley has a number of the same question marks of Marcus Mariota with a vastly lower degree of upside. Would you be happy if the Jets took Hundley?
