New York Jets Interested In CB Chris Culliver

We wait all weekend for news and then two pieces come at once. Well it's not exactly news, but it's noteworthy, lets just say that.

Just a few minutes ago, it was reported that the Jets were going about pursuing Iupati aggressively, now it seems we're looking at one of the top rated cornerbacks on the market.

Culliver, rated as the 14th best cornerback in the league last year recording 4 interceptions and 6 pass defenses, with quarterbacks completing just over 50% of their passes into his coverage (50.7%), I'm surprised we haven't heard his name mentioned more.

Chris is only 26 years old and he really looked to be blossoming into a complete corner last year, he'll not come cheap, but getting a corner entering the prime of his career is something the Jets need.

Of course, he doesn't come without question marks. He's made a few mistakes off the field, including some pretty poor comments in relation to homosexuals, he later apologised for his comments but not before the damage had been done.

In 2013, he made some derogatory comments about women on his instagram and in March of 2014 he was arrested for misdemeanor hit and run, misdemeanor driving on a suspended license and felony possession of brass knuckles.

Is he worth it? When your secondary is as bad as ours, I think he is.
