The Marty Lyons foundation is a not for profit organization providing special wishes for children with life-threatening or terminal illness, they work to put a smile on a childs face. Whether that's meeting their hero or visiting a place where they can forget their troubles, if just for a couple of hours.
This year Marty Lyons is taking on the 40 Mile TD Five Boro Bike Tour of New York City, with 25 riders in place and a target of $100,000, the challenge is on and anything we can do to help is a worthy task. So we're reaching out to Jets nation in the hope that some of you can donate a little to make a big difference.
Here is a note from Marty himself:
"It's hard to believe that we are celebrating our 33rd year of providing special wishes to children that are being cheated out of life. Your generosity over the years has made this incredible dream become a reality, and I can't thank you enough.
Once again on May 3rd, we will be riding in the 40-mile TD Five Boro Bike Tour of New York City. Last year our team consisted of only 7 riders and we raised over $55,000 for the foundation. I'm proud to say that the out pour of riders this year was overwhelming, and we now have 25 solid riders. With more riders we can raise more awareness about the foundation and yes, more money. Our goal this year is to reach $100,000. We cannot do this by ourselves, we need your help.
I've always believed we can make more money, but we can't make more time. Please watch this video, Michelle's Story, of this special little girl that WE helped by sending her and her family on a dream vacation to Disney World. Michelle felt special that week in Disney, away from the hospital, spending time with her family and it proved she's a fighter. I'm proud to say that on January 27th of this year she received a heart transplant and is doing well. Every day is a challenge, but we're with her all the way. This is where your money goes, please help me. Your donations are greatly appreciated, you can donate by going to:

If you're not able to donate, thoughts and prayers are also needed for all of our families.
Our legacy will be defined by answering one question, "Did we take time to make a difference in a life of a child that needed our help"?
Thank you for ALWAYS being there for the foundation. I understand $100,000 is a big goal, a big dream................ but, I know we can do it.
