Today is a busy day for GM Mike Maccagnan:
David Harris re-signs with Jets on three-year, $21.5 million deal, per a source
— Aaron Wilson (@RavensInsider) March 6, 2015
That works out to just over $7 million per year. We obviously don't know the guaranteed amounts or if he's cuttable after a year or so. That seems like a lot to me, but it was probably necessary to keep him from going to the Buffalo Bills and joining Rex Ryan.
I'm not thrilled about the amount, although, as I said, we need to see the amount guaranteed. However, Harris is still a starting linebacker on a team that desperately needs them. What do you think?
UPDATE:
David Harris resigns with Jets 3 years 21.5 15 million fully guaranteed first 2 years . Wow Jets getting it done
