Today's news on whether or not the New York Jets will re-sign Darrelle Revis comes from Adam Schefter:
.@AdamSchefter tells @AdamSchein he expects #Jets will attempt to pay Darrelle Revis "anything he wants", and says it'll come down to NE/NYJ
— Mad Dog Sports Radio (@MadDogRadio) March 5, 2015
It isn't clear whether Schefter just "expects" this because he knows they're interested, or if he's actually basing that on a source. Obviously, it's hyperbole since there are clearly limits to what they can/will pay him. The point, naturally, is that the team really really (like super duper) wants him.
There have been a number of reports that Woody Johnson truly wants to bring Revis back, and this adds to the pile. There's a huge need, the team has a lot of money, and Revis could add onto his legacy by retiring with the team that made him great. The only question is, will Jets fans accept him back?
