The Jets announced last night that they had signed DE Ronald Talley who has previously worked with Todd Bowles in Arizona.
I remember Talley from his Notre Dame days, but he transferred to Delaware for his final years of eligibility. He was signed by the Packers and spent his first year on the practise squad. 2010 was spent largely on the Cardinals practise squad before he was given a chance in 2011.
He's played in 15 games through his three year career, starting one. He's recorded 14 total tackles and 1 sack. Last year he signed on with the Buccaneers before being a final camp cut. He played under Bowles in 2013 but wasn't a major contributor to the Arizona defense.
This is a case of us getting some camp bodies in. You never know, but Talley will be celebrating his 28th birthday and it hasn't quite clicked in the NFL yet and there are no signs to suggest it ever will.
Best of luck to Talley in camp.
