Take this for what it's worth but are the Jets looking at their options if they were to trade back in the first round?
Tony Pauline confirmed that the Jets had sent their linebacker coach to watch McKinney at his pro-day and after the event, they took him out for dinner.

We have to remember that David Harris will become a free agent in 6 days and it's entirely possible that he moves on from the Jets. I hope he stays, but sometimes things don't go as planned and it's good to have some back-up plans. McKinney is built like a brick wall and hits like a mack truck, he has good closing speed and he can rush the passer.
The problem is, he can't cover all that well and we already struggle in that area. He'll likely go at the bottom of round one, or potentially the Jets could get lucky and grab him in round two. They are doing their homework, whether the selection is after a trade down in round 1, a trade up in round 2 or just staying put in the second.
