The Sacramento Bee reports veteran linebacker Erin Henderson will visit with the Jets.
Henderson also has a visit set up with the Jets, Chapman said.
Henderson was undrafted out of Maryland in 2008. He spent 2008 through 2013 with the Vikings. Minnesota released him in 2014 after a pair of arrests.
Henderson was a starter for the Vikings his final three years in Minnesota, registering 112 tackles, 4 sacks, and 2 interceptions his final season in purple and gold.
We are now at the ending point of free agency. Players signed between now and the start of the season will mostly be cheap guys who would not be locks to make the roster. That certainly would fit a player like Henderson who missed all of last season. If he was signed, he would likely compete for a roster spot to back up David Harris and Demario Davis as an inside linebacker.
