According to multiple reports, the Jets have officially signed James Brewer to a one year deal
The former 4th round draft pick of the New York Giants has appeared in 26 games, starting 8 in the last 3 years.
He started 8 games in 2013 for a Giants team who failed to live up to expectations. In 406 snaps he allowed 1 sack, 4 QB hits and 11 QB hurries. He has started on both the right and left of the line and I imagine he will compete with the likes of Colon, Aboushi and Winters for the starting RG spot
Can confirm that the Jets agreed on a one-year deal with former Giants OL James Brewer. #nyj

It's a depth signing with very little downside. Brewer is only 27, and he does possess some talent. More than happy to give him a prove it deal for 2015 and see what happens.
