Marcus Gilchrist Visiting Jets Tonight/Tomorrow

New, comments

In other news, a safety/corner hybrid will be visiting the Jets over the next 24 hours

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

It has been reported for several days now that the Jets had interest in former San Diego Charger

Gilchrist is 5-10 and 198lb's, drafted in the 2nd round of the 2011 draft and has made 40 starts in 62 career appearances. During his career he has recorded 5 INT's, 16 pass defenses, 3 forced fumbles, 3 sacks and 193 tackles.

Our buddies over at Bolts from the Blue are not that impressed:

"Marcus Gilchrist is another guy that's limited and shouldn't be playing starter snaps. It's not versatile if you're not good at both spots, and he isn't. He's not a sure tackler, not as aggressive as he should be, doesn't cover like a corner and doesn't hit like a safety. Another guy that can be replaced."
