I really like Bilal Powell and thought he was criminally underused last year, now it seems as though the Jets will re-sign the player:

There is nothing official at the moment, however beat reporters are usually spot on when players from the current team re-sign. Will this prevent the Jets from going after someone like C.J Spiller? On the surface you would think so, but lets see what happens moving forward.
Powell was a 4th round pick in the 2011 draft, known as a good pass protecting 3rd down back, if used properly he can compliment Chris Ivory quite nicely. Last year he carried the football only 33 times for 141 yards and 1 TD.
However in 2013 he attempted 176 rushes for 697 yards and caught 36 passes for 272 yards. In the Chan Gailey offense, I expect Powell to be a big contributor.
