2015 Free Agency: Who Should the New York Jets Re-Sign?

William Perlman/NJ Advance Media-USA TODAY Sports

There are a number of pending free agents that the New York Jets will need to re-sign before they can then look to other teams to poach their free agents. Below you will find a list of all of the team's free agents:

Name Pos. Age 2015 Cap Savings
David Harris ILB 31 $7,000,000
Michael Vick QB 34 $4,000,000
Kyle Wilson CB 27 $2,387,400
Willie Colon G 31 $2,000,000
Dawan Landry S 32 $1,825,000
Bilal Powell RB 26 $1,531,125
Nick Bellore ILB 25 $1,431,000
Leger Douzable DE 28 $1,000,000
Benjamin Ijalana LT 25 $926,658
Kenrick Ellis DT 27 $797,500
Tanner Purdum LS 30 $795,000
Greg Salas WR 26 $645,000
Damon Harrison DT 26 $572,333
Jaiquawn Jarrett S 25 $570,000
Phillip Adams CB 26 $570,000
John Conner FB 27 $435,882
Jermaine Cunningham DE 26 $398,000

There are a number of these players that the team will not, and should not, try to re-sign. It is unlikely, for example, that the team will try to re-sign Michael Vick. It doesn't look like they will re-sign Kyle Wilson.

However, there are other players that should be locked up. For example, I expect them to either retain Damon Harrison or Kenrick Ellis, if not both. Tanner Purdum is another likely re-signing. I could see the team bringing Nick Bellore, Jaiquawn Jarrett, and Phillip Adams back. They may try to re-sign David Harris, but it wouldn't surprise me to see him flee up north to the Buffalo Bills, so he can re-join Rex Ryan.

What do you think? Who should the team re-sign? Who do you think they will try to bring back?
