Today in Indianapolis the new head coach of the New York Jets and the new general manager of the New York Jets are scheduled to speak with the media. The duo will address the press separately. Todd Bowles is up first at 2:30 PM Eastern. Mike Maccagnan will follow at 2:45 PM Eastern.
I would not expect a whole lot of substance to come out of today's interactions with the media. There tends to be a lot of generic talking points from this type of press event.
"We are going to look for players who are good fits." We want high character guys." "We are building through the Draft." We hear some variation of these themes and others from a lot of teams. Maybe there will be an interested and revealing nugget or two, though.
