According to Matt Miller of Bleacher Report, "I'm told the New York Jets plan to roll out the red carpet for Demaryius Thomas if he doesn't receive the franchise tag from the Denver Broncos." This, of course, is a big if, but a moment on Miller, if you don't mind. The team has been doing a videos with Miller and given him some access to the team; they've featured his writing on the team site multiple times this offseason. So Miller has some credibility here.
As I said, this is a big if. It seems that the Broncos will likely franchise tag either Thomas or Julius Thomas. However, if DT isn't tagged, the allure of playing with Eric Decker may be a significant pull. The two (Black and Decker, as they call themselves), are best friends and Decker has said multiple times that he's been working on convincing DT to come here throughout the season. So while DT may be tagged, if he isn't, it seems fairly realistic to me that Thomas would end up in green and white.
