Miles Comes Up Big After Bad 4th Down Penalty

It's funny how things work out. Miles jumps offside and gives the Giants a 1st down, later in the game he comes up big with an interception at the goal line.

The Jets were missing two big contributors on the defensive side of the football in Revis and Williams but they still found a way to win. Leonard Williams picked up his first full sack of the season and Mike Catapano offered a little speed off the edge in bringing down Manning as well. Pryor made a great play to jar the ball loose from the OBJ grip in the end-zone and Cromartie played arguably his best game all year.

Unfortunately for the Jets, Mike Catapano had to leave the game with a foot injury and he'll be having x-rays today. Pryor also had to leave the game with a stinger, and we'll need to monitor him throughout the week.

The Jets held the Giants off the scoreboard for 3 of the 4 quarters. They held them to 4-15 (27%) on 3rd down (despite a number of silly penalties) The Giants averaged just 3.1 yards on the ground. All-in-all it was a strong day for a defense who was beat up.

The Jets ran 65 defensive plays and here is how they stacked up. Mauldin got some reps, but hopefully he continues to get more. Rontez Miles saw a lot of time too.
