Jets vs. Giants Final Score: Jets Stage Dramatic Comeback to Win in Overtime 23-20

The Jets are 7-5. Gang Green staged a dramatic comeback to beat the Giants 23-20 in overtime at the Meadowlands.

The Jets trailed for most of the game and were down 10 with 5:00 to go in regulation. Ryan Fitzpatrick led a pair of scoring drives, including a 9 yard touchdown pass with 27 seconds left in the fourth quarter to tie the game and force overtime. The Jets then put together a field goal drive on the first series of overtime. Despite allowing the Giants to drive into field goal range, the defense eventually held and forced a long 48 yard field goal attempt, which Josh Brown missed.

What does this mean in the big picture? Only time will tell, but a gut check win like this sometimes can be a season-defining one. Sometimes it launches a team on a nice run.

For the first time since 1993, the Jets have beaten the Giants. I'll need some time to compose myself and think this through, but the official recap will be up at some point before the night is finished.
